Souderton Area School District is happy to welcome full-day kindergarten students beginning in the 2022-2023 school year. Full-day kindergarten gives kindergarten students more time to grow and achieve academically, while developing important cognitive, physical, social, and emotional skills. Full-day kindergarten classes provide a learning environment that promotes the growth of all learners. Each child is presented a curriculum that helps develop the whole child.
Full-day kindergarten provides large uninterrupted blocks of instructional time. Students begin the day with a morning meeting, and progress into reading, writing, phonics instruction, and math. Science and social studies is woven into our Playshop where students have the opportunity to experience hands-on guided play that develops students physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Our teachers create welcoming communities that are nurturing, supportive, accepting, and safe through building and facilitating deep connections. These connections and relationships are what makes full day kindergarten such an exciting time for young learners in Souderton.
