Vernfield is thrilled to present to you the Holiday Giving Program. It is that time of the year when families often inquire how they can help children or families in need in the Vernfield Community. We greatly appreciate the spirit of wanting to help others! Sign up online for clothing or toy items, as well as gift cards. If you choose to participate, we ask that all gifts are returned to Vernfield wrapped with the item number assigned to it by Friday, December 15th. In advance, we thank you all for helping us...
From Monday, December 4th through Thursday, December 7th, Vernfield Elementary School is excited to be hosting The Lil’ Shopper’s Shoppe® where children can pick out their own holiday gifts for their family and friends. The shop is set up and run by parent volunteers and all gifts are priced from 25¢ to $5.00. There are gifts for parents, siblings, grandparents, friends, aunts/uncles, teachers and even pets! If you are interested in volunteering at this event, please see the Holiday Shop Sign-up.

Vernfield's Winter Concert, originally scheduled for Thursday, December 7th, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, December 6th at 7:00 PM in the Indian Valley Middle School Auditorium. The Winter Concert dress rehearsal will be held on Wednesday, December 6th, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the All-Purpose Room.

On November 14th and 15th, the Vernfield mobile Spirit store will be visiting the school Pods with items for purchase to help students celebrate the 20th anniversary of Vernfield.
Items for purchase include:
- 20th Anniversary pencils
- 20th Anniversary bookmarks & wristbands
- Vernfield erasers
More information will be sent home with students.

Five of the books that an elementary student reads in the summer can count toward their goal of reading 25 – 30 books in the next school year. In order to meet the standard for proficient readers, students need to read at least 25 books each year.
