Did you know that you can recycle paper, newspapers, catalogs, magazines, junk mail, shredded paper, office and school mail 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at Vernfield School? Do you also know that we earn money for paper that is dropped off at our green and yellow recycling bin? Our recycling bin is located at the front of the school building. We need to increase our tonnage to keep our recycling bin, and we are hoping to get more community participation.

At our last Town Meeting we had a special presentation by Abitibi encouraging students to be recyclers. Hopefully they came home from school excited about the way they can help take care of our earth.

This is an easy way for you to recycle your paper every week and help us raise money for our student activity fund. More important than earning some money for our school, we are teaching the children the importance of being good stewards of our natural resources. As you are doing some spring cleaning, please remember to bring your paper, junk mail, and magazines etc. and drop them directly in the Abitibi Recycling Bin.
