"The Education Foundation provided the funds to expand the ‘Book of The Month’ program to include all seven elementary schools. Each month, every elementary teacher received the same book selection and teachers were able to incorporate these books into character education lessons as well as literacy lessons."

"A Souderton Area Education Foundation grant enabled me to purchase the Hands On History Kits, Day In the Life books, and engaging video series that really brought colonial America to life for my students! With these kits they were able to touch and study authentic artifacts used by slaves, colonial women, and soldiers. I watched my students turn their fascination with colonial life into a hunger to learn more via books, videos, and hands on materials. "

"Through a Souderton Area Education Foundation grant the stories of our Sudanese students from the Dinka tribe in Africa will be part of recorded history. The Bridges Project enabled SAHS teachers and students to assemble and print a book that not only told of the Sudanese experiences, but served as a bridge of understanding between English as a Second Language (ESL) students and students in the AP composition class."

"Achieving E.M.C. (Excellence in Mathematical Communication) at EMC is a new project for the 2004-05 school year made possible by an Education Foundation grant. Time and resources are provided for teachers to learn about and develop models and expectations for problem solving instruction. The goal of this project is to strengthen students’ ability to approach and solve problems as evidenced in their day-to-day classroom activities, district benchmarks, and state assessments."
